Porn would have shocked me less

I walk into the bedroom where my husband is watching TV. He's intently watching something, but changes the channel before I can see it. He looks guilty...and the channel is now on a skateboarding show. I know something is up.

I put my hands on my hips, "Were you watching porn?"

He replies, "No..." rather sheepishly.

"Well what was it then?"

"I don't want to tell you."

"Give me the remote."

I climb on the bed, grab the remote and hit the "Previous channel" button.

He was watching "The Journey of Man" on PBS!!!!

Shock does not even begin to describe it...cardiac arrhythmia...yes.

You see, this is a man who occasionally calls me "geek" because of my interest in DNA.

When I'm finally coherent again, I ask, "Why are you watching this?"

He replies, "Because I love you."

Great big AAAAHHHHHHH! He got a back rub just for that.
